EXTRAORDINARY MURALS BY JASON HULFISH – All of us can appreciate one form of art or another, whether it is an Oil Painting from one of the great renaissance masters, Abstract Art or modern day sculpture artists. One area of art that has always fascinated me is the art of creating personalized murals and none stand about better than the fantasy world of Jason Hulfish and his remarkable team.

American Football Dream
Jason Hulfish creates an American Football scene.
As you can see from the image above this is still a ‘work-in-progress’ but even at this stage of the painting you can clearly see how well the wall comes to life with the three dimensional appearance.

The American Football Dream theme doesn’t rest with just an image on the wall. As with most of Jason’s work the scene becomes truly three dimensional and tactile with bespoke created objects, such as the football above, that make up the entire theme.
Just look at the football for a minute and drink in the splendour of the talent that went into making this object so real. The attention to detail is wonderful, along with the dimples, lacing and logo on the wall. This in itself is a stunning piece of artwork and is testament to the level of detail Jason and his team will go to in order to create the perfect effect.
The photograph below let’s you fully appreciate the completed artistic theme – right down to the field carpeting and I’m sure all Football fans would give their back-teeth for a room just like this one.

Nautical Wonder
One of my real pleasures in life is diving and this theme really does a lot for me. At 47 years of age even I would venture to say that I wouldn’t be averse to having a scene like this in my den or recreation room.
Jason Hulfish creates the most incredible underwater scenes.
This whole underwater world captures all the essentials to the mysteries of the deep, including all the corals, fish, the sunken ship wreck – what underwater world would be complete without one – and of course the menacing shark in all its majesty taking center stage.
The painted ceilings give the impression of being underwater.
Alice’s Wonderland
I loved this movie when I was a child and the book by CS Lewis is truly a magical experience, all of which Jason has managed to capture with vibrant colors and an array of wonderful characters.

The Diamond
Once again Jason and his team go all out and leave no stone unturned in producing an incredible baseball scene. Complete with the roaring spectators and a bed that fits perfectly into the design, this would make any kids (or adults) baseball dream theme come true.

It’s the attention to detail that really makes Jason’s work stand out and the 360 degree of realism is extended onto the ceiling to finish the whole effect of watching a Nikes game live.
Shipwrecked
This is one of those themes that capture the imagination of being shipwrecked the moment you lay eyes on it. The broken boat bed design is just perfect and complimented perfectly with the sea-rock. I simply love the way that Jason has taken two scenes into one – the above and below water and provides those looking at it with many wonders to behold.

Dungeons & Dragons
I dare anyone to tell me that their children wouldn’t love a bedroom on the Dungeons and Dragons theme. Jason and his team pulled out every trick in the bag to produce this incredible scene, complete with dragons and a stunning castle.

This theme has to be one of my favourites; it is so enchanting right from the built in castle structure to the beautiful painted ceilings. What is really nice here is that one wall was painted as a window scene to create the illusion of living in a land in which King Arthur might just make an appearance anytime.

Playtime in the Jungle
This cartoon jungle theme would make a brilliant nursery for any young child with the images being soft, warm, inviting and friendly.
The whole room has a real warmth and comfort feel and is beautifully painted with fun colors and I’m sure this will give you many cool ideas if you are thinking about redecorating or planning on a nursery room.

Fairy Tale Themes
The great thing about this work of art is that it captures so many fairy tale stories, from Alice in Wonderland to Jack and the Beanstalk. You simply have to admire Jason’s ingenuity in using as much of the wall and ceiling space which produces a feeling of the magical and wonder.

Pirates Ahoy!
Just look a the amount of work and the attention to detail that Jason has put into this incredible bedroom. There are just so many elements here to capture the imagination but what I really love is the fact that the ceiling is so well painted that it gives the impression that you are under water.
The Pirate bed is just incredible and adds a touch of the unexpected with the Dragon Mask Head.

One of the cool aspects of Jason’s work is not to just stop at applying paint to the walls, but to create a 3D effect to bring more realism to the theme, whether it’s a bed or some type of object that is relevant to the scene. The photograph above is a prime example where Jason has created a model of a coral outcrop that is fitted into the corner so that it provides two walls that come together as one – pure artistic creative genius!
