In this guide we provide you with practical advice on how to paint circles on walls.

 Step 1

Start by making sure your walls are clean.  This is not a difficult job but you do need to make sure that the walls you want to paint on are free of any grease or grime.  The easiest way to do this is to take a bucket of warm water and add some sugar soap.  Once you have cleaned down your walls you now need to ensure that the walls are smooth by filling in any holes and cracks you may have.  If you don’t prepare the walls properly then the whole effect can be ruined.

 Step 2

Get a pen and paper and plot out a design with varying size circles. This will give you a plan to work from but you are free to express yourself.

 Step 3

Take a hammer, nail, string and a pencil.

 Step 4

Cut the string in different lengths. These will form the different sizes of your circles.

 Step 5

Hammer the nail in the wall. If you have partition walls be careful to check for electrical wires and plumbing pipes.

 Step 6

Tie the string around the nail at one end and the pencil at the other. Pull the string tight and draw your circle.  Remember to keep the string taught as you go around for a nice symmetrical circle.

 Step 7

Repeat this throughout the wall creating a pattern of different size circles with the different lengths of string.

 Step 8

Once you have finished creating all your circles you will need fill the nail holes before painting.

 Step 9

You can now paint the circles any color or colors you like and follow the outline of the circles you made.  Make sure you use a good quality paint brush and pay particular attention to the edges.  You should end up with a bunch of colorful circles to the size and colour you chose.
