In fact, at least half of all lottery winners move within just three months of hitting the jackpot. This is according to a survey asked of 100 people who have won at least £1m with the National Lottery.

Camelot, a National Lottery operator, recently did a study to find out just what the big winners are buying with their newly found cash. The study revealed that a whopping 29 percent purchased a hot tub for their homes while 28 percent purchased walk-in wardrobes.

Why are these winners buying up hot tubs, particularly when they are affordable for most consumers even if they do not make it big on the lottery? Many feel that a hot tub is the ultimate in luxury. While they are contemplating what they should spend their winnings on, a hot tub may be the first thing that pops into their minds. After all, who doesn’t want to spend their evenings soaking in a relaxing hot tub?

A spokesperson for National Lottery revealed that many simply choose the items that a millionaire will need and these include a hot tub as well as a cleaner, giant wardrobe and a dog. Many lottery winners will run right out and buy a designer dog to give everyone the impression that they are among the rich and famous.

Of course, these are all things that you could purchase whether you win the lottery or not, but it makes it much more fun for many to have them on their wish list and actually see that wish list come to life. Whether you are planning to play the lottery or you just want to live the ultimate life of luxury, a hot tub is a must, followed closely of course by a huge wardrobe and don’t forget the designer dog.
