Submit Article – Article Submission Details, Guidelines & Terms
Please read the following information carefully as this will help you get the most out of creating articles on Hometipster.com.
Who Can Submit Articles?
We allow anyone to register and submit articles on Hometipster.com and share information that will inspire our readers with ideas for their home or garden.
Our readers are paramount to our success and the high quality traffic we can drive to your website; so we ask that the articles you submit are entertaining, inspirational and useful to our readers.
How Much Does it Cost?
PAY AS YOU GO – What Happens if I Don’t Pay the Publishing Fee?
Failure to pay our publishing fee will result in the terminated of your account. As part of our Terms and Conditions (see below) once we approve your article for publishing we acquire copyright. Therefore we may, at our discretion, still publish the article, however all links within the article will be removed.
Rule No.1 Relevancy
Your article must be relevant to the Home and Garden. We DO NOT accept articles regarding commercial premises or anything that is not relevant to the Home and Garden.
Rule No.2 Word Count
Your article MUST contain a minimum of 400 words to be considered for publication. Any articles submitted below 400 words will be discarded. You may include ONE link within your article.
Rule No.3 Readability
Your articles must be written with the correct use of English Grammar. Any articles submitted with poor levels of English Grammar and Spelling will NOT be published.
Rule No.4 Article Content and Links
Please include images in your article that are appropriate to the content. You must have either copyright over any images you use or have permission to use them.
Our reader’s like to see visual representations of what the article is about. Therefore the use of images, video and infographics is essential to making up an outstanding article. It is NOT a requirement to include video or infographics however our Reader’s Panel noticeably provide high ‘Star Ratings’ for those articles that do include these features.
1. Your article must be unique. We check for duplication on the web and any such breach of this rule will result in the immediate termination of your account.
2. You may produce an article that promotes a particular product or service but please make the article useful and remember your article undergoes a reading by one or more of our actual readers – if they don’t like it, it’ll get rejected.
Links – We understand that you want to gain traffic from your efforts and therefore provide you with one of two ways in which to create a link to your website or blog:
1. Ad Link (see example below). You may include a URL and up to 20 words to promote your website.
As you can see the ‘Sponsors Box’ is specifically designed to catch the attention of our readers and therefore drive high quality and highly targeted visitors to your website or blog.
To include this information simply add the text and link at the bottom of your article and we will format it for you.
2. Keyword Link – Within the body text you may create a single link to your website or blog. This is a great way to create a back-link.
IMPORTANT: Our system is designed primarily to drive traffic. We investigate all links to ensure that they are relevant to the article and ensure we are not linking to a website or blog with little or no domain authority or PageRank. We may at our discretion tag any link with a rel=nofollow attribute.
How Do You Rate the Articles on Hometispter.com?
As you can see each article is rated with a STAR system. The ratings range from 0.5 to 5. The higher the Star Rating the better our Reader’s Panel thinks your article is. Our Reader’s Panel is made up of real readers who offer their time to review articles and then provide a Star Rating.
Here’s a basic overview of how to get a higher Star Rating for the articles you produce:
Including images that provide a pictorial representation of what you are talking about is a definite way to impress our Reader’s Panel.
Including a Video.
Including an INFOGRAPHIC.
Provide valuable information that inspires homeowners to do more with their home and garden. Our readers are not adverse to product information but a hard-sell will get your article rejected.
Think about the creation of your article carefully. The whole idea of creating an article, for most contributors, is to create a way to drive our readers to visit the website from the Ad Link. The only way for this to happen is for you to write an article that is inspiring and one that will prompt our readers to share what you have written.
Will My Article Get Featured on the Monthly Newsletter?
We base our newsletter content on the Star Ratings that our Reader’s Panel has awarded. In order for an article to be considered it must achieve a Star Rating of no less than 2.
